Bayshore Station runs parallel to East Coast Park Expressway, and in the vicinity of several private houses and condominium estates.
At the station entrance; the timber clad canopy is interspersed with linear openings, filtering sun-light passing through, forming soft shadows on the ground. The roof is supported on both sides by a colonnade of columns leaning outwards.
The richness of overlaying patterns with different materials is reminiscent of fish scales and ties into the tilted linear glass screens along the perimeter expressing the movement of a speeding train.
The layering of timber and glass screens continues underground to the concourse and platform level. These graphical elements continue to change like a musical rhythm, depicting a playful theme and capturing the attention of commuters passing through the station.
